During that podcast, Ross had Austin on as a guest and one of the topics of discussion was whether or not Austin would consider coming back for one more match and this time let the fans know it would be his swan song in the ring. Coincidentally enough, on Austin's own podcast this week, special guest John Cena also hinted at Austin getting back in the ring and invited "The Texas Rattlesnake" to take part in WrestleMania 31 next year in California.Austin was the catalyst for the WWE's resurgence in the late 1990s and on numerous occasions has been called the biggest draw in wrestling history. On his podcast this week, former WWE announcer and head of talent relations Jim Ross said no one ever generated more money in the WWE's history than Austin.
Austin vehemently denied having an interest in returning to the ring saying that he wouldn't do it just for a paycheck and he was concerned that the match would not live up to his own personal standards. Austin went on to say that he knows how much work he would have to do in order to prepare for one last program and if it didn't live up to his standards, it would haunt him.
